STEPS
Initial Application
- You should fill in an application at our offices and pay 50 USD – non-refundable administrative fee.
- You have to sign a contract with GTCE.
Program documents
Within two weeks after your application you need to submit the required documents.
Sending the documents to the partner agency
When you submit your documents at GTCE:
- We will check and translate them.
- You should pay the rest of program fee.
- The documents will be sent to an agency in USA that will submit them to different families for approval. As soon as a family likes your documents, one of the parents will make a phone interview with you. During this interview you may ask questions regarding the children, schools, way of life, etc.
Host Family
In case you have liked each other:
- The family will send you an Agreement, proving that they have approved you.
DS 2019
Once the family has approved you and you have accepted them, the partner agency in the USA will issue your DS 2019, pay the SEVIS fee and send the documents to us.
Visa
Once the documents are received, you need to submit the following visa application documents:
- Application forms - DS 156, DS 157, DS 158
- Passport and a copy
- Photo 5 x 5
- Vise fee (yellow receipt)
- DS 2019
- SEVIS receipt
- Birth certificate
- Language certificate
- Recommendations
- Certificate from university (if the applicant is a student)
- Student’s book
- Diplomas
- Bank statement
After you submit and sign these documents, we will submit them at the consulate and receive a date and time for your interview.
The passport with the visa is received in two days after the interview by DHL.
Travel
Once you receive your visa, we will arrange your flight to the USA and let the partner agency when you will be arriving.
